Joseph Fisher served as an anti-tank gun crewman in the 607th Tank Destroyer Battalion as it landed on Utah Beach and fought its way to Germany in 1944-45. Back home, his parents carefully saved his letters, photos and mementos in a scrapbook now made available by Ball State University's Digital Media Repository.Additional collections in the repository include World War II oral histories, French Revolution pamphlets, the Muncie Post-Democrat Newspaper, an anti-Ku Klux Klan publication, and other collections documenting the history and life of the university and of Indiana.
