The University of Massachusetts has begun the massive project to digitize the W.E.B. Du Bois Papers. You can now explore more than 50,000 documents in this collection dating from the 1870s to the 1960s including correspondence, writings from The Crisis, photographs and even a 1939 valentine to grandpa from grandson Du Bois Williams. Once the collection is complete in 2014 there will be more than 100,000 documents available.
