The group had dinner one night with Mayor Uhlman, who clearly has higher political ambitions. He came across as an operator-type, a bit too smooth in approach and, in fact, alienated most of the group which was a surprise to me, considering the group. Everyone said we were in Seattle, Olympia, and Bellingham in very unusual weather. All I can say is that if it was typical, it's hard to understand how you could tear yourself away. It was great country.
