New Faculty Books
Two new books from history faculty:
Congratulations to Professor Sasha Harmon whose book, Rich Indians:
Native People and the Problem of Wealth in American History, has just been published by the University of North Carolina Press. Professor Harmon's wide-ranging book examines economic and political controversies spanning the period from Powhatan and the Virginia colony to present day tribal casinos.
And congratulations to Professor Sandra Joshel whose book, Slavery in the Roman World, has just been published by Cambridge University Press. Professor Joshel's book is a comprehensive introduction to Roman slavery covering the legal status of slaves as well as their social and material lives.
Copies of both books are on order for the Library.
