Congratulations to Professor Kent Guy whose book, Qing Governors and Their Provinces: The Evolution of Territorial Administration in China, 1644-1796, has just been published by the University of Washington Press. Professor Guy's study of Qinq governors focuses on the growing influence and roles provincial officials had within China during the reigns of the Shunzhi, Kangxi, Yongzheng, and Qianlong emperors. A copy is currently on order for Suzzallo Library.
