History Database Trials

There are currently a number of history-related databases available on trial. I have set up these trials in the hopes of applying for extra funding in order to purchase at least one of these databases. They are:

• British Periodicals [18th & 19th centuries fulltext]
• C19: The 19th Century Index [not fulltext, includes Pooles, Wellesley and more]
• Empire Online [we've trialled this database in the past]
• Parliamentary Papers [20th century, UW has the 19th]
• Proquest Civil War Era [American civil war]
• Slavery, Abolition and Social Justice 1490-2007
