The Libraries is considering purchasing additional historic newspaper databases (similar to the Historic New York Times and Digital Times of London). Newspapers covered are:
- Chicago Defender [part of the Black Studies Center]
- Chicago Tribune
- Los Angles Times
- Wall Street Journal
- Washington Post
- America's Historical Newspapers
